This adorable model of a King Charles spaniel with her puppy just proves that wonderful things come in small packages, and their appeal held by sentimental Victorian dog lovers. The mother dog looks proud as she sits guarding her pup. This pieces dates to around 1860. It is certainly packed with a lot of charm.
The other model shows a spaniel carrying a game bird in its mouth. It, too, is a delightful and charming piece of antique Staffordshire that also dates to around 1860.
Both models are in excellent condition and would be a nice addition to any collection.
The mother/child model measures about 2 inches wide, 3-¾ inches high and 1-¼ inches deep. The single hunting dog measures about 3 inches wide, 4-¼ inches high and1-¼ inches deep.
