A gorgeous Minton tete-a-tete tea set with a year cypher mark for 1883. The set consists of a teapot, cream jug, sugar bowl, toast rack, and 2 cups and saucers. It is in incredibly good condition with virtually no wear to the gilded trim, no chips, hairlines, cracks, or repairs. Each of the pieces has a red pattern mark of "34769". Each piece is hand-painted in rich enamel colors of red, green, and blue with a scene of birds on flowered branches. There is rich gilding in the painted scenes as well as around the rim of each piece. The tea pot is the largest piece and measures 9 inches wide and 6 inches high.
