KPM Berlin For the Housewife Cobalt & Gold Leaves Tea Cup & Saucer Circa 1837-1844

Nice antique empire form porcelain footed tea cup and saucer. Decorated with gold bands and cobalt blue and gold leaves. With "Für Die Hausfrau" in gold script on the top of the cup, which translates to "For the Housewife." Marked on the bottom with a blue underglaze scepter mark above KPM. This mark was used between 1837 and 1844. Also marked with the red globe mark used by KPM Berlin since 1832.

Has some wear to the gilding, and wear consistent with age and use, but otherwise good condition.

The cup measures approximately 4 3/8 inches wide including the handle x 3 inches tall.
The saucer measures approximately 5 7/8 inches wide.
