A large Spode's 'Camilla' platter, part of a larger dinner service - can be sold individually or as part of the dinner service (see final picture)
The impressed mark of a circular COPELAND over a crown is mark 207 from Robert Copeland's book 'Spode and Copeland Marks' which was used between 1860-1869. When I bought the dinner service in an auction I was told that it was 1850 but I think that is a bit too early. However, Copeland made Spode's 'Camilla' made from 1847-1867 so it could be. Later versions, post 1867, would have been marked Copeland and Sons. To make it more confusing the impressed mark T above 16 could correspond to porcelain made in August 1916 so it could be that late.
DIMENSIONS: It is 16.5 inch (42 cms) long and 13.25 inches (34 cms) wide
CONDITION: In excellent condition, no chips or cracks, mild crazing on the underside
Please look at the photographs closely as they are part of the description. Shipping costs will be actual costs, I will refund any difference. I expect that this would cost about $50 to post, tracked and insured, to the US.
We live on a Scottish Island and our ferry is affected by the vagaries of the weather especially this time of year. I will do my best to facilitate any ‘rush orders’ but it will depend on the weather. Please email me with any questions.
