19th Century Copeland Spode's 'Camilla' Serving or Vegetable Tureen, c 1860-1869
The impressed mark of a circular COPELAND over a crown is mark 207 from Robert Copeland's book 'Spode and Copeland Marks' which was used between 1860-1869. When I bought the dinner service in an auction I was told that it was 1850 but I think that is a bit too early. However, Copeland made Spode's 'Camilla' from 1847-1867 so it could be. Later versions, post 1867, would have been marked Copeland and Sons. To make it more confusing the impressed mark T above 16 could correspond to porcelain made in August 1916 so it could be that late.
DIMENSIONS: The tureen is 6.5 inches (16.5cms) high, it is 9 inches 22.8cms) wide and 11.75 inches (30 cms) long
CONDITION: There are four of these in the dinner service; they can be purchased individually or as part of the dinner service'. All four are in excellent condition and look as if they have never been used.
Please look at the photographs closely as they are part of the description. Shipping costs will be actual costs, I will refund any difference. I expect that this would cost about $30-$50 to post, tracked to the US.
We live on a Scottish Island and our ferry is affected by the vagaries of the weather especially this time of year. I will do my best to facilitate any ‘rush orders’ but it will depend on the weather. Please email me with any questions.
