Retired: Royal Doulton fine English Bone China "English Setter" Dog figurine. A collector's piece by lead designer Harry Nixon (HN) Edward Daws artist. 1931-1960. This beautiful figurine was designed after English Champion Maesydd Mustard. Hallmarked: ROYAL DOULTON seal on one foot and the Lead Artist on the other foot. HN 1050ED. MEASUREMENTS: 5-1/4" H x 8-1/3" L x 2.375" W. Condition: Mint. Original papers and box lost after 50 years.
About: Harry Nixon. Was lead designer for Royal Doulton from 1913-1955 when he died. All earlier pieces are hallmarked HN with series # with artist name when applicable.
